Reporting to the Field Harvest Coordinator, the Truck driver position is a casual role based on the Atherton Tablelands, working across our three farm sites.Primary ObjectiveTo collect picked fruit from chariots, and deliver to the packing shed in a timely manner, preserving best possible quality of the product. You are required to attend all FNQ sites as outlined by the picking schedule. This role also entails monitoring and replenishing chariot stocks in collaboration with the Project Supervisor (Chariot Supervisor).Key Accountabilities Ensure that the chariot is fully stocked with picking materials (e.g. punnets, boxes, sorting trays etc) prior to picking commencing on a daily basisMonitor stock supplies during the day and replenish as required, or upon request from a Project Supervisor (Chariot Supervisor) or AssistantAt the end of the day, clear the chariot of all remaining stock of berriesVisit the allocated crews at regular intervals in the day to collect packed fruitLoad fruit into the truck in line with the required procedureTransport fruit to the packing shed with due care and attention to protect the fruit qualityCommunicate with the Field Harvest Manager to establish the frequency of collections required based on the volume of fruit and crew pick rateAssist in the removal of fruit from the truck and moving to the appropriate storage areaRestock truck with stock supplies as required by the picking crewsAccurately record the amount of fruit taken from each crew at each pick upWork with the Field Harvest Supervisor/Assistant team to rectify any discrepancies in the figuresProvide accurate summary data to the packing shed and Field Harvest Manager/Coordinator at the end of each shiftAbide by Costa WHS practices and procedures, ensuring strict adherence to road safety lawsSkills Strong attention to detailExcellent communication skillsStrong team playerAbility to work autonomously and under directionAbility to maximise and seek efficiencies in work functionsAbility to undertake strenuous work activities for extended periods of time in adverse weather conditionsStrong time management, planning and organisational skillsStrong understanding of safety and a proactive approach to all safety issues Australia - QLD Cairns & Far North

Primary Objective

To collect picked fruit from chariots, and deliver to the packing shed in a timely manner, preserving best possible quality of the product. You are required to attend all FNQ sites as outlined by the picking schedule. This role also entails monitoring and replenishing chariot stocks in collaboration with the Project Supervisor (Chariot Supervisor).

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure that the chariot is fully stocked with picking materials (e.g. punnets, boxes, sorting trays etc) prior to picking commencing on a daily basis
  • Monitor stock supplies during the day and replenish as required, or upon request from a Project Supervisor (Chariot Supervisor) or Assistant
  • At the end of the day, clear the chariot of all remaining stock of berries
  • Visit the allocated crews at regular intervals in the day to collect packed fruit
  • Load fruit into the truck in line with the required procedure
  • Transport fruit to the packing shed with due care and attention to protect the fruit quality
  • Communicate with the Field Harvest Manager to establish the frequency of collections required based on the volume of fruit and crew pick rate
  • Assist in the removal of fruit from the truck and moving to the appropriate storage area
  • Restock truck with stock supplies as required by the picking crews
  • Accurately record the amount of fruit taken from each crew at each pick up
  • Work with the Field Harvest Supervisor/Assistant team to rectify any discrepancies in the figures
  • Provide accurate summary data to the packing shed and Field Harvest Manager/Coordinator at the end of each shift
  • Abide by Costa WHS practices and procedures, ensuring strict adherence to road safety laws
